Return Policy

At Teknik Tools, we manufacture high-quality, workshop-grade equipment built for daily use. If there’s an issue with your order, we’re committed to resolving it fairly and in line with South African consumer law.

This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.

Change of Mind Returns (7-Day Cooling-Off Period)

You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order if you have changed your mind, provided that:

  • The item is unused
  • The item is undamaged
  • The item is returned in its original condition
  • All parts, accessories, and packaging are included

Please note:

  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
  • Original delivery fees are non-refundable
  • Refunds are processed after inspection

Requests submitted after 7 days may be declined.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns:

  • Custom-made or custom-colour products
  • Products built or modified to customer specifications
  • Items that show signs of use, wear, or installation
  • Clearance or discounted items (where stated)

Many Teknik Tools products are manufactured to order and cannot be resold.

Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives:

  • damaged
  • defective
  • or incorrect

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at:

Include:

  • your order number
  • clear photos of the issue
  • a brief description

Resolution options may include:

  • repair
  • replacement
  • refund (where repair or replacement is not possible)

If the issue is confirmed, Teknik Tools will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

Warranty & Manufacturing Defects

Teknik Tools products are built for durability and professional use.

If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect within the warranty period:

  • The item will be assessed
  • We will repair or replace it where possible
  • Refunds are issued only if repair or replacement is not feasible

Warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear
  • cosmetic damage
  • rust caused by improper care or storage
  • damage from misuse, overloading, or modification

How to Start a Return (Shopify Orders)

To request a return:

  1. Email mayur@teknikindustries.com with your order number
  2. Wait for return authorisation and instructions
  3. Package the item securely
  4. Return it using the approved method

Returns sent without prior authorisation may be refused.

Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing times depend on your bank or payment provider

Shopify does not refund payment processing fees charged by third-party gateways.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you’d like a different product, please return the original item (if eligible) and place a new order through our Shopify store.

Responsibility & Safe Use

Our products are intended for workshop and garage environments.

Customers are responsible for:

  • using products within rated limits
  • correct setup and usage
  • routine maintenance

Teknik Tools is not liable for damage or injury caused by misuse or unsafe practices.
